Fashion Apps are all the rage when it comes to keeping up with the latest looks you see on the runway and on the street. With New York Fashion Week kicking off on September 6th, 2018, it’s easier than ever to keep up with the Big Four fashion weeks throughout the month. I love these fashion apps that will make every week feel like Fashion Week.
Here is a list of September 2018 Big Four dates:
New York: September 6 – 14
London: September 14 – 18
Milan: September 19 – 25
Paris: September 24 – October 2
VOGUE RUNWAY Fashion Apps
Of course the premier fashion publication has an app, and it’s pretty sexy. You can enable the able to send you a notification when major fashion shows are happening. Still shots of Spring 2019 collections for men and women are loaded up and ready for you to swipe like a slideshow. Design house Fear of God features Jared Leto looking very masculine in plaid shirts, denim jackets and work vests– he could pass as an HGTV series carpenter. Conversely, Rachel Zoe’s women’s spring collection is silky smooth in ethereal color schemes. Selam Fessahaye features voluptuous models– yes!
There is also a video element with shorts from fashion influencers, backstage preparations, and various collections. The “Street Style” icon features shots from fashion weeks in the Ukraine, Sweden, Australia, etc. You can save photos to a “My Shows” page, share looks you love on social media, and search for designer collections all the way back to 1991. (Don’t know what the little editing icon on the top right is for– nothing happened when I clicked it using my iPhone X.
LIKE TO KNOW.it Fashion Apps
This fashion app isn’t associated with fashion week, but you better believe it’s going to be in full swing through the month of September. LikeToKnow.it creators curate fashion influencers from around the globe and put them into an easy-to-browse app where you can “Shop The Pic” right away.
What you’ll love is that many of the looks are budget-friendly (unlike the couture fashion you see on runways). Save looks you love for future inspiration and “heart” pieces you want to buy later. You can also request to be a featured influencer in fashion, beauty, lifestyle, food, travel, home, and more. It’s pretty cool.
NET-A-PORTER Fashion App
You may have heard about or used Net-A-Porter since it’s Y2K debut, so it’s no surprise that the luxury designer shopping site has an app. It may be a surprise to learn that the creators launched a digital magazine called PORTER featuring stars like 52-year-old Robin Wright.
You’ll love their “Best Dressed” list that is updated weekly, and you better believe they’ll be covering fashionistas attending fashion week. The editors have already pulled together a lookbook of garments/accessories that the “fashion pack” is wearing to events (the Roberi & Fraud Betty sunglasses are the least expensive item at $240 US).
